Planning a wedding in Birmingham will soon be elegantly simple—all thanks to three locally established wedding vendors.
Amberly
Shelton of Amberly Shelton Paperie, Meghan Cease of M. Elizabeth
Weddings and Events, and Alisha Crossley of Alisha Crossley Photography
are hoping their “comprehensive” wedding boutique—Simply Wed—will help
deliver a “custom experience tailored to each bride's needs” in a
uniquely simple way.
Simply Wed’s Grand Opening—Thursday, Aug, 15—is poised to revolutionize the local wedding planning industry,Dresses for elegant Wholesale Short Homecoming Gowns and short formal dresses. all from their space at 1739 Reese Street in Homewood.
The
idea, said Crossley, is to bring together the area’s top-notch wedding
vendors all under one roof—creating an all-inclusive wedding community
of sorts. Rather than shop around town to meet with a variety of
florists, caterers, photographers and wedding dress designers, explained
Crossley, Simply Wed brides will have the opportunity to walk into the
boutique and choose from a carefully selected group of wedding vendors
all in the same building.
“We’ve put bricks and mortar around the top wedding vendors in the area, searching for the perfect discount 2013 Wholesale Cheap Bride Dresses.” said Crossley. “Now, we work together to create a community.”
Rather than offer an overwhelming amount of choices, said Crossley,Our wedding 2013 Cheap Designer Bridesmaid Dresses great cheap price, the trio was careful to include only two or three professional vendors from each category.
In the floral design category, for example,Searching for the Wholesale 2013 Celebrity Dresses
to wear on your big night? brides can choose from the work of Dorothy
McDaniel's Flower Market, HotHouse Design Studio and KG Designs.
“Even
though we offer a comprehensive view of every aspect involved in
planning a wedding,” said Crossley, “we wanted to keep it a simple,
enjoyable experience. We don’t want to overwhelm our brides. We want
them to have a choice, but not be bombarded with options.”
Each vendor was selected according to their “quality of service, reputation and the ability to produce upscale productions.”
Because
Crossley, Shelton and Cease are all vendors themselves, the trio worked
to ensure a diverse selection of styles. Crossley, a photographer, said
she understands her style might not fit every bride, so aside from her
work, brides can also choose to work with local vendor, Enlove
Photography.
Based on their style, brides can come in and select
a florist known for creating a beautiful, southern feminine look, said
Crossley, or an out-of-the-box creative look. The same applies for
almost every other category.
To encourage a sense of a
“team-like community,” Crossley, Shelton and Cease will not receive a
commission when a bride selects one of the Simply Wed vendors. The space
is more of a co-op, explained Crossley.
The founding trio
fronted the money for the space and for its decoration, but now, each
participating vendor pays x-amount of dollars each month to help with
the operating expenses of the space.
“The space is just as much
theirs as it is ours,” said Crossley of the other 20-plus vendors who
showcase their work at Simply Wed.
Each, she explained, fashion styles of Wholesale Short Wedding Gowns, also has the opportunity to use the space as a location to host a variety of events specific to their professional expertise.
As it works to ensure a diverse vendor selection, said Crossley, Simply Wed aims to attract every type of bride.
“Our
bride is the bride who is concerned about the details,” said Crossley.
“One who is excited about the wedding process whether they are working
with a $10,000 budget or a $200,000 budget.”
No matter the price-point, she said, each bride has to make choices.
Simply
Wed hopes to help brides—those who need help choosing every detail and
those who are just in need of a top-notch videographer—make the choice
that is right for them.
Simply Wed’s Grand Opening Celebrations is set to kick-off this Thursday at 10 a.m.
A
variety of activities will fill the morning, said Crossley, until
around 2 p.m. The Aveda Institute, for example, will have a team of
manicurists on site to provide a special treat to attendees. Both
Dreamcakes and Steel City Pops will offer treats of a sweeter kind to
help celebrate the occasion.
